Questions and answers
What is darkrm?
darkrm is a photographer workspace for preparing editable titles, captions and hashtags from a photograph and the context you choose to provide.
Who can use darkrm?
darkrm is intended for adults aged 18 and over. You must be at least 18 years old to create or use an account.
How does it work?
Upload a photograph, choose whether to start manually or prepare content, add any useful context, select a platform, style and caption length, then review and edit the resulting draft. You can create and save versions for the same photograph.
What can darkrm create?
The current workspace prepares a title, a short or long caption, and hashtags where they are appropriate for the selected platform. They are editable drafts, not automatic posts.
Can darkrm see my photograph?
Yes. A resized JPEG version of the photograph is uploaded to your account so it can appear in your gallery and be used when you request content.
What happens to a photograph during generation?
When you ask darkrm to prepare content, it sends the resized photograph and relevant selected context to the OpenAI API. That can include information such as location, additional context, platform, writing choices and Voice settings. Read more in the Privacy Policy.
What context can I provide?
You can add a location or venue, target audience, photo vibe and additional context. You can also choose a platform, caption style and caption length. Context is optional, so provide only what is useful for that photograph.
Can I edit and save the result?
Yes. Titles, captions and hashtags can be edited in the workspace and saved as drafts. You can create multiple drafts for a photograph and delete individual drafts while at least one remains.
What is Your Voice?
Your Voice is an optional profile where you can describe preferences and provide a writing sample. When completed, it is used as writing guidance for future content requests. It is not treated as factual information about a photograph.
Does darkrm post to Instagram, TikTok or other social networks?
No. darkrm does not currently connect to social accounts or publish for you. Platform selection only guides the content that is prepared in the workspace.
Does darkrm own my photographs?
No. You keep ownership of the photographs and material you provide. darkrm needs a limited permission to process and store them in order to run the service for you. See the Terms & Conditions.
Can I delete a photograph?
Yes. The photograph workspace includes a delete action. It deletes the image record and associated saved drafts, and the service attempts to remove the stored image file from active application storage. Backup deletion is an intended 30-day rotation target that still needs operational verification.
Can I delete my account?
You can request account deletion through [SUPPORT EMAIL]. darkrm may verify that the request comes from the account owner before acting on it. There is no self-service account-deletion tool yet, and the request process must be implemented and verified before the policy is final.
Can I request a copy of my data?
You can request access to your personal information or a copy of relevant account content through [SUPPORT EMAIL]. There is no self-service export tool, and the manual export process still needs to be implemented and verified.
How many generations can I use?
The current Free plan includes five content generations per monthly allowance period. If the allowance is used, you can still create and edit content manually, but the prepare-content action is unavailable until the allowance resets.
Is darkrm free?
darkrm currently provides the access and usage allowances shown on the Pricing page. There is no paid checkout in the current implementation.
Is there a paid plan?
Not in the current implementation. There is no paid checkout or subscription flow. Any future paid plan will need clear pricing and terms before it becomes available.
What file types can I upload?
The upload control accepts JPEG, PNG and WebP files. Your browser resizes the selected image and uploads a JPEG representation to the service.
Can darkrm guarantee that a caption is accurate?
No. You should review every title, caption and hashtag before using it. darkrm is designed to create an editable starting point, not to verify facts or make publishing decisions for you.
Are photographs used to train AI models?
darkrm does not use your photographs or content to train its own models. When you request generation, darkrm sends relevant information to the OpenAI API. OpenAI states that API inputs and outputs are not used to train its models by default unless the API customer explicitly opts in to data sharing. Standard API processing may retain inputs and outputs for up to 30 days for service operation and abuse monitoring. darkrm does not claim to use OpenAI Zero Data Retention.
Does darkrm use cookies?
darkrm uses an essential signed session cookie to keep you logged in. It also uses local storage for settings such as theme and Voice progress. The public site uses the standard Ahrefs Web Analytics script, which Ahrefs describes as cookie-free by default.
How can I contact darkrm?
Support, privacy, deletion and data-access requests should be sent to [SUPPORT EMAIL]. The Contact page is also published, but its working contact details and secure form still need to be configured.
